Wide range of views greets fracking panel in Loveland

November 20, 2014

Loveland elected officials and residents were among the sea of public commenters at the Oil and Gas Task Force's meeting Thursday night, giving input on issues of local control and regulations for the industry.

The task force's two-day November meeting took place Thursday at The Ranch and will continue for a half-day Friday. Despite more than two hours of public comment, only half of those who signed up to speak were able to do so before the session ended. Those who were not able to speak at the meeting can submit their comments to members of the task force by email.

Loveland voters rejected a hydraulic fracking moratorium in June, and City Councilor Troy Krenning addressed the task force about the experience.
